"ARTIFACTS #1" marks our first collaboration with Tokyo-based multidisciplinary creative Nicolas Yuthanan Chalmeau. "Artifacts” is the idea of re-purposing past ceramics from the Showa era. Yuthanan has been traveling around Japan to source these relics from another era that have been unnoticed over time. As Yuthanan points out, "Instead of buying new ceramics, why not re-investing in past artifacts with a modern twist?".

Nicolas Yuthanan Chalmeau (b. Paris) is a French-Thai designer, photographer and overall cultural icon based in Tokyo. He studied fashion in Paris before moving to Japan, where he founded the made-in-Japan clothing label Sillage, Agence Yuthanan and Galerie 21. His work has been featured by Hypebeast, Johnstons of Elgin and Nychair X, among many others.
